TWS, the latest boy band from Pledis Entertainment, is gearing up to debut on Jan. 22 next year, positioning itself as the next chapter of K-pop icon Seventeen.The new sextet, the first boyband at Pledis in nine years, is also HYBE Labels’ inaugural rookie group for 2024, joining the esteemed ranks of BTS. Its name, “TWS,” derives from “twenty-four-seven with us,” reflecting the group’s commitment to forge an enduring connection with fans.Founded in 2005, Pledis Entertainment has nurtured several notable K-pop groups, including Seventeen, After School, Orange Caramel, NU:EST and fromis_9.Notably, Seventeen, a 13-member boy group, has evolved into a prominent force in the K-pop landscape since its 2015 debut. The group’s 11th mini album, “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN,” achieved the highest first-week sales among K-pop albums, contributing to an impressive total of 16 million album sales in 2023.

Hoping to replicate Seventeen’s success, TWS made a splash on its official social media platforms on Wednesday with news about its debut mini album, “Sparkling Blue,” along with the title of the pre-release song, “Oh Mymy: 7s,” slated for Jan. 2.Before its official debut, TWS will unveil official teasers on Jan.17 and 18 with a pop-up store experience from Jan. 18 to 31. Adding to the anticipation, TWS is also planning a face-to-face showcase with fans after the debut show on Mnet on Jan. 22.The agency, positioning TWS as a “next-generation group combining creative prowess and solid infrastructure,” assured the group’s unique identity through its music genre and the members’ individual talents.It also disclosed that renowned producer Han Sung-soo, founder and CEO of Pledis, steered the debut album’s production, 슬롯게이밍 heightening expectations.
