Basketball, a new friend.
On the 12th, the fifth edition of the 2024 Chungbuk Basketball i-League was held at the Naesu Life Sports Park in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. The fifth edition of the Chungbuk i-League kicked off with the U12 division, where nine teams were divided into three groups to compete in the preliminary round.
Chungju Samseong defeated Sejong Yeonsae Max 15-11 and Junior Promise 19-11 to top the group.
Chungju Samsung’s Ryu Woo-jae (Kukwoncho 5) led the team to victory in the first game against Sejong Yeonsemax 파워볼사이트 and was named the MVP of the match.

“I started playing basketball in the third grade because my mom asked me to go with my friends,” said Ryu. “I played basketball for almost two years, and I had fun, hard times, and sad times. I was very sad when one or two of my friends quit playing basketball,” he added.
After experiencing the tournament on a regular basis, Ryu has gradually come to enjoy it.
“When I first heard that I was going to compete, I was nervous and worried that I wouldn’t be able to do what I learned well, but now that I’ve experienced the tournament little by little, I’m not nervous anymore, I just want to do my best and win,” he said.
The current coach of Chungju Samsung is former WKBL player Park Ha-na (retired from Samsung Life in 2022). “I’m learning basketball from Coach Park Hana, and she teaches me a lot of basics and skills. I used what I learned from her in this tournament, and it made me realize that I need to practice more.”
“My friends who started playing basketball with me quit one or two times, but basketball has become my new friend, and I want to play basketball as a hobby for the rest of my life, even if I quit later,” he said.
