North Korea’s exports to the People’s Republic of China in the first half of this year have surpassed pre-COVID-19 levels.

According to an analysis of Chinese customs statistics, North Korea’s exports to the People’s Republic of China in the first half of this year totaled $135 million (KRW 170 billion), a 275% increase from the same period last year and a 24.6% increase compared to the first half of 2019, before the COVID-19 outbreak.
