‘Korean breaststroke powerhouse’ Choi Dong-yeol
Choi Dong-yeol (24, Gangwon Provincial Office) was disqualified and failed to advance to the semifinals of the men’s 50m breaststroke world championships.
Choi Dong-yeol participated in the men’s 50m breaststroke preliminary group 5 race at the 2024 International Aquatics Federation World Championships held at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar on the 13th and finished the race with a time of 27.01 seconds and 4th place in the group.
However, after video review, the decision was ‘disqualified’.
