The Major League Baseball (MLB) Texas Rangers swept the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the best-of-seven

American League Championship Series (ALCS) to advance to the World Series.

Texas defeated Houston, 11-4, in Game 7 of the ALCS of the 2023 MLB Postseason at Minute Maid Park in

Houston, Texas, on April 24.

Facing the prospect of losing three straight games after winning two in a row, Texas rallied from a 9-2 deficit in

Game 6 to win the decisive Game 7.

This is the third consecutive World Series appearance for the Rangers, who also won in 2010 and 2011.

Texas

Has been to the World Series twice before, but never won. In the 2010 World Series, they lost to the San

Francisco Giants in four games, and in 2011, they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in four games. Now they’re

looking for their first championship.

Defending champion Houston, on the other hand, had a shot at the World Series but packed it in due to a lack of depth.

For Texas, Adolis Garcia went 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs scored. Corey Seager chipped

in with a 5-for-3 performance with one home run, one walk, one RBI and two runs scored.

Starter Max Scherzer

Was pulled after allowing two runs on four hits in 2⅔ innings, but a rotation of Jordan Montgomery, Josh Svotz,

Aroldis Chapman and Jose Leclerc preserved the win.

Texas opened the scoring in the first inning with a solo shot by Seager and then made it 3-0 on back-to-back RBI

singles by Garcia and Mitch Garber.

Houston

Got a run back in the bottom of the first on Jose Abreu’s RBI single with runners on first and second.

Texas answered in the top of the third with a run-scoring solo shot by leadoff hitter Garcia. Houston responded

in the bottom of the inning with a run-scoring single by Alex Bregman. The score was 4-2 in favor of Texas.

The tense game turned in favor of Texas in the fourth inning. 카지노사이트랭크 With the bases loaded, Evan

Carter and Garcia each hit two-run singles to cap a four-run inning.

Texas made it 10-2 in the sixth inning on a two-run single by Nathaniel Lowe. With the way the game was going,

it was hard for Houston to come back.

Houston got one run back in the seventh, but Texas’ Garcia made it 11-3 with a solo shot in the eighth.

In the bottom of the ninth, Leclerc gave up a run to preserve the win, but it wasn’t enough to change the

outcome. In the end, Texas clinched a spot in the World Series in enemy territory.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 5-1 in Game 6 of the National League

Championship Series (NLCS) behind a strong performance from starter Merrill Kelly to send the series to a deciding Game 7.

After falling to 2-3 with a Game 5 loss and facing elimination, Arizona evened the series at three games apiece.

The two teams will meet in the same location one day later on April 25 to determine who will advance to the World Series.

At the center of Arizona’s victory was Kelly.

Kelly, who previously won the Korean Series with the SK Wyverns (now SSG Landers), pitched five innings of

three-hit ball, striking out eight and allowing one run.

Ryan Thompson, Andrew Salfrank, Kevin Ginkel, and Paul Seewald combined for four scoreless innings to preserve the win.

At the plate, Ketel Marte went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, while Tommy Pham and Gurriel Jr. supported

with a home run apiece. Geraldo Pedomo also paced the bottom of the order with a multi-hit performance.

The Phillies were stung by the loss of their trusted starter, Nola, who gave up four runs in 4 1/3 innings. The

offense, which had been firing on all cylinders, was held to just one run by the Arizona mound. 고스톱
