Jeju United will look to turn things around against Gwangju FC.

Jeju will face Gwangju in the 31st round of the Hana Bank K League 1 2024 on Sunday, September 22 at 4:30 p.m. at the Gwangju Football Stadium. Jeju currently sits in eighth place in the league with 11 wins, two draws, 17 losses, and 35 points. However, they are not free from the relegation zone shadow. Ninth-placed Daejeon (34 points) is just one point behind them, and the gap between them and bottom-placed Incheon (31 points) is just four points. With three games left before the final round, the team must focus on widening the gap between them and the relegation zone.

First, they need to end their bad luck with Gwangju. Jeju has recently lost three straight games against Gwangju and is winless in four matches (one draw and three losses). An invitation to win is a clean sheet. In Jeju’s 11 wins this season, a whopping eight of them have been clean sheets. There hasn’t even been a single draw in a clean sheet. The team has also shown more focus against stronger opponents, winning 1-0 against Ulsan in Round 25 and Gimcheon in Round 29.

The defense is more important than ever, as they conceded four goals in Daegu in Round 30.

While Italo, who was a key player in Lavolfiana’s tactics in Daegu, 파워볼실시간 was forced off with an injury, key defender Lim Chae-min made her long-awaited return from injury. Im Chae-min came on for Jeon Sung-jin in the 34th minute of the second half.Im Chae-min is a key player in Jeju’s modified three-back. His physicality (188 cm, 82 kg) allows him to anchor the center of the defense, allowing left-footed center back Song Joo-hoon to build up more smoothly in transition. It also gives the team the option to utilize Hong Junho as a “number three” depending on tactical changes.

“Right now, every game is a final,” Lim said. Defense is the most important thing in this kind of game. Jeju has a 100 percent win rate when keeping a clean sheet this season, so we have to be extra focused, especially since Gwangju is gaining momentum after scoring seven goals against Yokohama at the ACLE stage in midweek. If we can produce a good result against Gwangju, we can get back on a positive track. We’re at a point where we can’t back down anymore, but we will believe in each other and become stronger. We will definitely give our fans a victory.”
